Introduced Monday at the 2006 3GSM World Congress, the Nokia 6131 is a clamshell handset that packs a 16-million color QVGA display, a 1.3-megapixel camera with 8x digital zoom, Bluetooth, a microSD slot and an e-mail client. The phone will be available in Latin America, Africa, Asia and Europe in the second quarter. Nokia rolled out the phone on Monday along with two other models at the Barcelona gathering.
The Nokia 6136 features Unlicensed Mobile Access, which allows users to roam between private unlicensed wireless networks and the public-switched telephone network using the same, dual-mode phone. The phone also includes a 1.3-megapixel camera with 8x digital zoom microSD card slot, an MP3 player, FM tuner, and e-mail and audio messaging capability. The phone debuted at the 2006 3GSM World Congress in Barcelona.
The Nokia 6070 looks much like earlier models but features basic camera phone capability, stereo FM radio and an XHTML browser for simple news and image downloads. The entry-level phone also comes equipped with SMS/MMS messaging. Nokia rolled out the phone along with the 6131 and 6136 at the 2006 3GSM World Congress in Barcelona.
