AMD fans targeted by Windows exploit

A discussion forum Web site for fans of Advanced Micro Devices chips was shut down Jan. 30 after the discovery of an exploit for Microsoft's Windows Meta File flaw. The exploit has since been removed.

This screenshot uncovers what happened when someone visited the home page while the exploit was still active, according to a blog posting by security company F-Secure. The "download file" pop-up would not have been seen on some systems.
