There are always cool new apps coming out, so it's hard to keep up. ZDNet Australia brings you a taste of some of the apps that have surfaced or been updated recently.

Rackspace

If you have an account with Rackspace for cloud hosting, the new Rackspace Android app is a mobile manager that lets you administer your files and servers on the go. Features include multiple account support; the ability to create, resize and delete cloud servers; the ability to rename, rebuild, ping and reboot your servers; manage backup schedules; change passwords; manage errors; and contact support directly from the app.

Woolworths

Price: Free
Platform: iOS (iPhone)

The Woolworths app allows users to create shopping lists and find the location of products in their local stores. If a product runs out in the kitchen, users can scan the barcode using their scanner and the item will be added to their shopping list.

Facebook Messenger

Price: Free
Platform: iOS (iPhone), Android

This app breaks out the popular site's messaging service into a separate app. Users can log in with their Facebook credentials to get access to existing chats and message threads from Facebook for interacting with them on the go. Included is group messaging, along with a component that lets users share photos and their location.

Citrix Receiver

Price: Free
Platform: iOS (iPhone and iPad), BlackBerry, Android

Users can use Citrix Receiver to access applications and Windows desktop on the go if their firm uses Citrix Receiver to host applications.

VidyoMobile

Platform: iOS (iPhone and iPad)

VidyoMobile enables video-conferencing with shared content viewing on the move. Users will need a Vidyo account to use the app.

Business Analysis Toolbox

Platform: BlackBerry

Business Analysis Toolbox hosts a collection of analysis tools for evaluating businesses and allowing users to gain rapid feedback on strong and weak points of their business.

HP Support Center

Price: Free
Platform: iOS (iPad and iPhone), Android

This app provides users access to support for HP enterprise and commercial printers, laptops, desktops, workstations and servers, providing them with 24/7 chat support with specialists. The app also provides access to the technical manual specific to the user's product, as well as allows them to check warranty and active contract status for commercial products.

Sugar Mobile Plus

Price: Free
Platform: iOS (iPhone and iPad)

SugarCRM customers with Sugar Corporate, Sugar Enterprise and Sugar Ultimate on Sugar 6.2 or higher can use this app to access CRM data from their iPhone or iPad. The app works in online and offline mode, providing access to customer data whether there is mobile coverage or not.
