Personal TV device maker TiVo Inc. announced on Tuesday an agreement with U.K. television service provider British Sky Broadcasting Group PLC to bring personal television to the United Kingdom. Personal TV uses a PC-like hard drive to search out TV programs to record, depending on the viewers' likes and dislikes. Users can then watch the program at a later date and pause, rewind and fast-forward the show as if watching a VHS tape. The service will be co-branded by both companies and the product and service are expected to be available in retail outlets this fall. -- Robert Lemos, ZDNet News
