    Amazon's latest version of the Kindle ebook reader, available to UK customers from 27 August, features a number of improvements over previous versions.

    The new Kindle model is more compact than its predecessor (21 per cent smaller size and 15 per cent lighter) and has double the storage (increasing its capacity to 3,500 books).
