RIM's US line-up gets full Qwerty clamshell - running BlackBerry 6...
BlackBerry maker RIM added another device to line-up this week with the launch of the BlackBerry Style.
The Style comes in a clamshell form factor - the only device in RIM's current handset portfolio to do so.
The smartphone runs RIM's latest OS, BlackBerry 6 but has no touchscreens on board. Instead there's a two-inch external display - shown above - where users can check information such as when a new text message has arrived.

Inside, the BlackBerry Style has a 2.7-inch display, as well as a full Qwerty keyboard and optical trackpad.

The Style also sports a five-megapixel camera, GPS, wi-fi and supports up to 32MB of expandable memory.

The device is aimed at the US market - where the clamshell form factor remains popular - and will launch exclusively with US operator Sprint later this month.
A RIM spokeswoman said at present the company has no plans to make the Style available outside the US.
