A model tries on a full-color head mount display (HMD) with a built-in CMOS camera at a virtual reality exhibition in Tokyo on June 22. The wearable computer by Japanese machinery maker Hitachi Zosen and Shimadzu consists of the HMD and a palm-size Windows XP PC with a pointing device.
At the Tokyo virtual reality show, Jun Ishikawa, president of Ishikawa Optics and Arts, poses with a mannequin named "Chatty." Chatty has a video image face capable of displaying various expressions through DVD images shown on its surface by a built-in special projector.
