Top 10 tech products revealed at CES 2017 so far

LG has offered something a little different at this year's Consumer Electronics Show with the PJ9 Levitating Portable Speaker. The speaker uses electromagnets to float in midair, which in turn provides 360-degree sound, and a subwoofer is embedded in the device's station.

When battery life begins to fade, the speaker will automatically begin to wirelessly charge.

During CES 2016, Mayfield Robotics announced Kuri, a $699 smart home robot which can understand context and surroundings, recognize specific people, and respond to questions with facial expressions and movement.

The robot is equipped with an array of microphones, a built-in 1080p camera, and sensors to map its surroundings. You can use the "if this, then that" protocol to give the robot specific tasks or take advantage of pre-programmed functions such as playing music and podcasts, waking you for work and monitoring your home while you are away.

The Thinkware F800 dash cam, designed with the connected car in mind, is a camera which taps into Internet connections in order to send location and status data to emergency services when a crash is detected -- or an "SOS" button is pressed. In addition, the device has a handy "Parking Incident" feature which will let you know if your car is hit while parked.

The resolution of our television sets has come in leaps and bounds in the past decade, but now we have UHD, 4K and plasma for those deep-of-pocket, where next?

LG believes "nano cell" technology is the way forward and revealed a new lineup of televisions based on this concept at CES 2017.

The Super UHD sets, the SJ9500, SJ8500 and SJ8000, all feature nano cell technology which utilizes "uniformly-sized particles approximately one nanometer in diameter" in order to keep picture quality high no matter the viewing angle or lighting conditions.

Lenovo has created a new line of PCs designed for today's gamer. The Legion range, starting with the Y720 and Y520, are outfitted with NVIDIA graphics cards, Intel's latest 7th Gen Core i7 processors and 16 GB DDR4 RAM. The laptops are also virtual reality compatible and can be customized with up to 3840 x 2160 UHD display capabilities.

The laptop range begins at $899.99 with the Y520 shipping in February, followed by the Y720 in April.

Soraa's Helia is a smart lighting system which tries to go beyond just alarms and LED lighting spectrum by going back to natural lights. The system, made of bulbs and sensors, adapts to your environment and both sunrise and sunset times, using "blue light" to wake you up before transforming into white light.

During CES 2017, Kingston unveiled what it calls "the world's highest capacity USB flash drive."

Available in 1TB and 2TB versions, the DataTraveler Ultimate GT is also USB 3.1 Gen 1 compatible, which offers rapid read/write speeds.

The QardioCore, first introduced in 2015, is now available for pre-order. At this year's CES, the makers of the $499 wearable electrocardiogram monitor not only tracks activities but valuable information useful when wearers are living with a number of heart conditions -- including heart rate, heart rate variability, and skin temperature -- is also recorded.
