Google chief executive Sundar Pichai and other executives took to the stage at Google I/O, its annual developer conference, to announce its latest and greatest in hardware and software offerings.
Here's what was said during the keynote:
- Nine years that Google has put on its annual developer conference
- 43 billion words translated by Google each day
- 25 million Chromecast media streaming devices sold to date
- 200 million monthly active users of Google Photo
- One new messaging app unveiled, dubbed Allo.
- Ten years since Google started working on Android
- 600 new Android phones released this year
- 65 billion installs from Google Play last year
- 75 percent faster app installation in Android N thanks to its new complier
- 1 billion Chrome users protected by the company's Safe Browsing technology
