Toshiba says it's still evaluating Crusoe chip

Officials at Toshiba America Information Systems Inc. on Wednesday denied reports that Toshiba has abandoned plans to use Transmeta Corp.'s Crusoe processor in possible future systems. Company officials told ZDNet News that Toshiba has yet to arrive at a decision on Crusoe and continues to evaluate the new processor technology. See related story. -- John G. Spooner, ZDNet News
