Billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk could be making science fiction from the "Iron Man" series a reality with the creation of a holographic computer interface that can be manipulated by hand.
CNET's Edward Moyer caught wind that Musk had an impromptu Twitter exchange with "Iron Man" director Jon Favreau last Friday, where Musk said: "figured out how to design rocket parts just w hand movements through the air (seriously). Now just need a high frame rate holographic generator."
This is the second "big" futurist idea Musk has announced this month. He recently challenged California's plans for high-speed rail with a counterproposal that would make traveling from Los Angles to San Francisco a 30-minute trip through the use of a supersonic vacuum tube system called "Hyperloop."
