Feeling low? So's Indonesia

Indonesia is hosting this week's climate change conference...and it's one of the nations most likely to feel the pain. At the conference in Bali international leaders and scientists are supposed to be looking for the next step in co-operative effort to curb global warming. That's after the Kyoto Protocol expires in a couple years.

One report released in conjunction with this conference says Indonesia could be losing some of its islands to rising sea levels. Just this week a major highway connecting Jakarta to its airport was severed by a high tide. The same report goes on to predict that much of Jakarta, Indonesia's biggest city and capital is in danger of rising sea levels.

The map showing what Indonesia loooks like with all its island still above sea level is from the CIA, your tax dollars at work.
