Notorious Evleaks graced us with a render of the Galaxy Note 8, ahead of Samsung's big revealbig reveal on August 23. The Galaxy Note 8 is a follow up to Samsung's infamous Galaxy Note 7 recall, in which every Note 7 sold by Samsung was returned in a massive embarrassment.
A user on Chinese social media network Weibo posted images of what is believed to be the Galaxy Note 8 in the wild. While it could be a dummy unit, the device in the photo gels well with the render from Evleaks.
Like the Galaxy S8 released earlier this year, it looks like the Galaxy Note 8 will include an infinity display. In a mobile market ripe with competition, the crisper display wins.
According to leaks, Samsung is expected to include a 6.3-inch QHD+ infinity display. The latest rumors say a beast 1440 x 2960 Super AMOLED display, with a super-widescreen 18.5:9 aspect ratio.
Marketing material claimed to be from Samsung was posted by Ausdroid.
According to rumors, Samsung will wait three weeks after the August 23 announcement to release the Galaxy Note 8. A Korean network provider spokesperson told ETNews: "We are going to sell Galaxy Note 8 starting from the 15th of September. Its price has not been set yet".
In typical Galaxy Note fashion, the latest iteration will ship with a stylus. The stylus could help Galaxy Note 8 users take notes, write messages, or send GIFs.
The Galaxy Note 8 is expected to pack the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 in the US and its own Exynos 8895 in the UK and other regions. Further, 64GB and 128GB storage sizes, alongside 6GB of RAM, are expected.
The Galaxy Note 8 will include Samsung's Smart Switch software to help transfer your photos, contacts, and music from your old handset.
The leaked marketing material suggests the Galaxy Note 8 camera will include a dual-lens camera capable of 2x optical zoom. Optical Image Stabilization and an F.17 aperture was also tipped.
There have been three colors for the Galaxy Note 8 floated around: Black, Gold, and Deep Sea Blue.
