HP Black Friday 2012 deals launched on Windows 8 desktops and laptops

Prices go as low as $299.99 for a desktop and $349.99 for a notebook. If you're looking for a gaming or performance PC, there are also specials on HP's Envy and Spectre lineup.

While there have already been Black Friday deals announced at other retailers on HP Pavilion PCs (see links below for some examples), HP has finally launched its own specials on its website for desktops and laptops.

Desktop sales start at $299.99 for a Pavilion p6-2300t with Intel Celeron G465 processor, 2GB of RAM, 500GB hard drive, and DVD burner. Most other Pavilion p series desktops see $20 or $30 cuts off their base configuration prices, though you can get $80 off a p6-2355 with Intel Core i3-3220 CPU, 8GB of RAM, 1.5TB hard drive, and DVD burner for $499.99.

HP is also slashing prices on its Envy performance desktops, starting from the h8-1400z (AMD FX-6120 six-core CPU, 6GB of RAM, terabyte hard drive, Radeon HD 7450 graphics card) for $549.99 all the way up to the Phoenix h9-1340t (12GB of RAM, 2TB hard drive, Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 graphics card), slashed $100 to $1,399.99. Envy all-in-one PC deals range from the Envy 20 TouchSmart with Pentium G640 dual-core processor, 2GB of RAM, and 500GB hard drive, slashed $150 to $649.99, to the Envy 23 TouchSmart with Core i7-3770S quad-core chip, 8GB of RAM, and 2TB hard drive for $1,299.99.

Other all-in-one models on sale include a Pavilion 20 with AMD E1-1200 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 500GB hard drive that's $100 cheaper (now $449.99); an Omni 27 with a quad-core Core i5-3330S, 8GB of RAM, and terabyte hard drive that's $200 off (now $999.99); and the 23-inch Spectre One with Core i5-3470T CPU, 6GB of RAM, terabyte hard drive, and Nvidia GeForce GT 610M graphics starting at $1,298.99.

Laptop sales start at $349.99, $50 off the 2000z-2b00 that comes with AMD E1-1200 dual-core processor, 4GB of RAM, 320GB hard drive, and 15.6-inch LED-backlit display. There's a $100 savings on a Sleekbook 14z-b000; for $399.99, it comes with the AMD E1-1200 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 500GB hard drive, but no optical drive to keep it under 4 pounds and under an inch thick.

As with desktops, the Envy laptop lineup is on sale, including a pair of Ultrabooks. The 4t-1100 is $150 off (now $579.99) for a 14-inch system with Core i3-2377M chip, 4GB of RAM, and 500GB hard drive, while the similarly sized 4-1130us is $100 off ($749.99) and boasts Core i5-3317U, 6GB of RAM, 500GB hard drive, 32GB solid state drive, and red accents.

There are also four Spectre Ultrabook configurations, though two of them are only $20 cheaper than before. The other two are $100 less -- the $899.99 Spectre XT Ultrabook 13-2150nr with Core i5-3317U, 4GB of RAM, 128GB SSD, and 13.3-inch screen, and the $1,299.99 14-3210nr powered by a Core i5-3317U CPU and including a 14-inch 1,600x900 display. All of the Envy and Spectre Ultrabooks include Beats Audio technology.

Unlike the HP systems you can buy from a brick-and-mortar retailer, all of these online specials are customizable. You also get free shipping to soften the blow of not getting instant gratification. How do these deals look to you?
